Welcome to Venus Middle School
Congratulations to our

ATTENTION 2017-2018 INCOMING 7TH GRADERS!
All incoming 7th graders
MUST HAVE THE MENINGOCOCCAL VACCINATION ALONG
WITH UPDATED SHOT RECORDS
We will also be having the Hughley mobile van come to our district on July 29th from 8am to 1pm during our new student round up day which will be held at Venus high school. This would be a great opportunity for you to get your child’s immunizations.
The Hughley mobile van is for students that are currently not insured, have insurance that does not pay for vaccinations or one of the government health plans such as Medicaid, chips etc.
You will be asked to fill out a form to affirm that you do not have insurance that covers vaccinations.
Please see the file to the left for vaccination requirements.
Daily Dismissal Procedures
Parents picking up students in their vehicles are asked to line up in the right-side lane on the south side of the school (blue lane).
The left lane is reserved for school buses (yellow lane).
Due to safety concerns, students will NOT be allowed to walk into the parking lot to vehicles (red area).
The Venus Middle School PRIDE program is designed to recognize students who exemplify P.R.I.D.E. (Personal Responsibility In Daily Efforts). To qualify for the PRIDE program, a student must have an average of 85 or higher in all of their classes, no discipline referrals for the six week period, zero tardies, and no more than two absences. At the end of each six week grading period, an assembly is held to honor these students.
